Time out for a few days of relaxation and rest. The weather hasn't been so great--in fact it rained just about every day of the vacation, less two. But it mattered little. We took day trips to New York, even got in a fabulous show "A Little Night Music"! Took our 4 year old grandchild, Beau, to the Aquarium-Atlantis-and it was such fun watching her feed the mantas. We ran from fish tank to fish tank. We took a ride up over the Island and could see the Peconic!
Time out is imperative for this human. I love to work, and my job takes on a new meaning when I'm away. I can still email and return emails thanks to all this nifty technology. I also love to play. Playing is music to my soul. Being outside, hanging with the husband, with the kids, taking in some great movie/show with those I love, a movie with my galpals, dinner with some loving people. All these feed me. I need people and know that God speaks to me through them.
Love my alone time, also!! A morning to putter and enjoy the quiet in my homespace. That's bliss. A shot of the City--now that's my fave! Take me on the ironhorse West to Manhattan--equipped with a camera, a notebook and great walking shoes and I am set for a few weeks.
I've got it in my blood--born in the Big Apple! Dragged in by a City-bred mother. It soothes my soul and makes me happy to have my little Country nest to come home to, also.
Time out! Give your routine a rest!
